Tuesday:
In the morning we began working on a Townscape painting from a photograph using acrylic paints (red, blue, yellow, brown and white) on white cartridge paper.
In the afternoon I did some research into Achitectual Structures to help me come up with designs for a 3D sculpture using paper and card.
Wednesday:
In the morning for textiles I got some reference photos of church spires, bridges and urban walls to incorporate into my body supported structure designs.
In Graphics we used Adobe illustrator to experiment on our townscape photos using the pen tool and how to draw polygonal lines and curved lines. http://luketomlinsongraphicstownscape.blogspot.co.uk/
In art history we were sent to research the topics we are studying (e.g Townscape artists who work in fine art, 3D...)
Friday:
In printmaking we learnt how to do monoprinting using black ink, paper and blunt objects. I created several townscape drawings using this method and in the afternoon for photography we got our film ready for developing.

Townscape week 2
Tuesday:
In the morning we worked on drawing from a window again but this time using ink to draw with.
In the afternoon we drew more 3D perspective drawings of various shapes and I then had a go on the Google Sketch Up computer program.
Wednesday:
In textiles I planned out my design of what to do for my supportive structure and the townscape link which is to create a piece which sits on the head, shoulders and front torso made up up a church spire, a bridge and urban scenery.
In Graphics I wrote up my evaluation of the portraits piece to put on my graphics blog which can be found here. http://luketomlinsonl3adgraphicsportraits.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/evaluation.html

For the morning we produced a basic tonal life drawing using conte crayon in an effort to get back into drawing the life model.
In the afternoon for photography we took a series of narrative photographs on film which will then be developed next lesson.

Townscape Week 1
Tuesday:
In the morning with Mark we were told to produce a townscape drawing from one of the windows around college using either Biro or pencil
in the afternoon with Joe we looked at perspective drawings and how to draw isometric 3D shapes using construction methods.
Wednesday:
For textiles our project we are working on is to create a townscape based supportive structure so we spent the day researdching supportive structures and ways to incorporate townscape into them.
In Graphics we began work on adobe illustrator learning how to create a vectorgraph image and get used to the program.
In Art History we looked up townscape images to see other artist's work and to replicate a photograph.

We researched the work of John Virtue, a townscape artist who creates prints.

The Figure week 7
Tuesday:
In the morning we volunteered to be life models again and I drew my peers and in the afternoon with my wire head finished, I created a wire hand based around my own.

I continued working on my textiles piece, there's still some more work to do on it

In the morning I did two self portraits while the evaluations went on
and in the afternoon I finished my 3D wire head

I continued working on my textiles self portrait piece, I finished my autobiography cover in graphics which can be found along with evidence here http://luketomlinsonl3adgraphicsportraits.blogspot.co.uk/
and in Art History we finished watching the Picasso documentary and made notes on it.

Tuesday:
In the morning we worked on portraits by taking turns drawing my classmates working in 15 minutes each.
In the afternoon we continued working on our wire heads and I have gotten the face completed and just need the hair doing now.
Wednesday:

In Art History we wore our African masks we made for our homework and posed in the style of Picasso's Les Demoiselles d'Avignon and began watching a documentary on Picasso

In printmaking we used our drypoint tiles to create various prints and in the afternoon for photography I got another contact sheet printed off, scanned in my 6 developed photographs that I will mount, created some panoramic and double exposure pieces on photoshop and also got those and my blog printed off to stick in my book

On Tuesday we went on a trip to Manchester to visit a University fair and see what courses University's have to offer
Wednesday:
In textiles we began working on a textiles piece of self portraits using whatever methods we experimented since we started
